Christian people are set apart from the world for the work and honour of God on earth. Here are some brief points on the subject of sanctification for you to consider today.
Salvation –1 Corinthians 1:26-31
The process of sanctification starts the moment you come
to God as a sinner and confess Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour
with a contrite and sincere heart before Him. Do you come to God knowing you
need a Saviour? Have you humbled yourself before God?
New Life – 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17
You will find that when you come to Christ your life will start to change for
the better. You will have a different outlook on the world and the things that
once occupied your time and efforts will no longer be your chief focus. God
chooses men and women to come out of the world and live for Him. Repentance is
key to true salvation. If there is no repentance there is no salvation.
Repentance is a change of heart, mind and will regarding the things of God. You
will start to conform your life to the teachings of Scripture.
Ministry – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Not everyone is called to full-time ministry, but we are all called to the
ministry of preaching the Gospel to the lost. As we grow in grace the Lord will
open doors for us to share the Gospel with friends, family and people we come
in contact with. As we grow in the grace of sanctification the Lord will give
us responsibilities.
Sacrifice – Romans 12:1-2
It is good for us to sacrifice things for the Lord. The greatest thing we can
sacrifice for Him is our time. If we spend time in prayer and study of the Word
of God you will be blessed for it. God will honour your commitment to Him and
will use you for His glory. What have you sacrificed for God today?
