As we step into the dawn of 2026, our hearts naturally look back on the year that has passed and forward to the year ahead. Each New Year provides an opportunity to pause, reflect, and lift our hearts in gratitude to the One who holds all our days in His hands.
Looking back on
2025, we can see God’s faithfulness in countless ways. Through joys and
challenges, blessings and trials, His steadfast love remained our anchor. The
psalmist reminds us, "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His
lovingkindness is everlasting." (Psalm 107:1)
Indeed, the
Lord has been our guide, our provider, and our comfort. Whether in moments of
celebration or seasons of difficulty, His presence has been our constant. It is
in remembering His goodness that our hearts overflow with thanksgiving.
As we look
forward to 2026, we do so with hope and anticipation, trusting in God’s plan
for our lives. Each day of the coming year is a gift from Him, and we can face
it with confidence because of His promises. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for welfare and not
for calamity to give you a future and a hope."
This year, let
us resolve to seek Him more earnestly, love more deeply, and serve more
faithfully. Let our hearts be attuned to His voice, our steps guided by His
Word, and our lives a reflection of His grace.
The apostle
Paul encourages us to walk with steadfast faith. In 1 Corinthians 15:58 the
apostle wrote, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast,
immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is
not in vain in the Lord."
As we step into
2026, let us carry forward the lessons, the joys, and the strength God has
given us, trusting that He will continue to bless, guide, and uphold us. May
this New Year be one of growth in faith, deepening love for others, and
unwavering hope in our Savior.
With hearts
full of gratitude for the year gone by and eyes fixed on the future, we say:
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness in 2025. May Your presence guide every
day of 2026.
"The steadfast love of the LORD
never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23
